How exactly has your recruitment process changed?
We have a lot more control over the staff that we accept. Now that we can view seeker profiles and decide for ourselves, we are able to ensure that we hire the very best staff. Because of this we have found that the employees on the GIG app have been far superior with the quality, reliability and attitude towards their work.
Has this change in model affected your business?
We are able to be a lot more responsive to demand. If it’s a busy time of the year, or a member of my staff rings in sick, I can just jump on the phone and quickly set up a gig request. I can even nudge a few people to ask for help and within minutes have covered that position – even if it is for the same day or even that night.
Signing in and out is quick and easy as well – not the paper version that most companies are using which can be an issue – so we end up paying for exactly what we use.
Have you managed to reduce the cost of hiring?
Yes, we are now in a position where we can better manage our hiring costs and keep track of all our monthly payments. It’s a very simple process.
